Bird watching is another area specialty- there are more than 250 species in the region, making it a premier destination for birders. Morningstar Golf Course Located 5 minutes from French Creek Marina between Qualicum Beach and Parksville, this championship course is host to the Canadian Tour" Spring Qualifying School. The golf courses highlighted above are open to the public and offer a driving range, practice greens, pro shop, clubhouse, licensed facilities and will reserve tee times in advance for visitors (some restrictions do apply). You may also want to try Eaglecrest Golf and Country Club , an 18 hole facility located in nearby Qualicum Beach .
